Mike is a multi-disciplined art director offering design and strategic consulting services for the interactive (web) and print mediums. Based out of his busy home studio in Brantford, Ontario, Canada, Mike impresses a growing international client base consisting of web developers, ad agencies, design studios, and publication companies. He also works direct with clients in a breadth of industries from start-ups and not-for-profits, to internationally recognized organizations.

 

At the core, Mike is a designer. He is passionate about helping clients achieve their goals using design. His business-approach to creativity and design help him to distill information into executed media that is both meaningful and relevant to the business and its consumers.

 

As a designer, Mike has worked both freelance and employed for over 7 years. He has had the opportunity to provide design services for some of North America’s largest brands like Canadian Tire, Moneris, Hbc, VON, RIM, International Truck, Nu-Gro, and conversely, on many local brands and businesses like Hickory Dickory Decks, Beacon Hall Golf Club, Service Freight Systems, Tourism Haldimand (City of Caledonia), and Art Gallery of Hamilton to name a few. Experience with a mix of large and small organizations has provided Mike the ability to understand the unique needs of small business, the foresight for growing business, and what it takes to maintain or launch a brand, product or service for large business.

 

In January 2008, Mike officially took the leap into a sole proprietorship, aptly naming the business Mike Precious, Art Director - as clients and colleagues tend to remember the name, Precious. He is now actively seeking to build the business with new clients.

 

Mike’s skills and experience also extend into: copy writing, directing model and product photo shoots, photography, photo retouching and manipulation, extensive knowledge of offset and digital press.
